The way we choose our books for review is the same way we’d pick a book out while browsing, which is why all the things we ask for are so important. We can’t decide if a story tantalizes us without reading the back cover or peeking at the chapters. We want to feature the best indie books we can. Any review request we receive that is missing these elements will be automatically rejected.

*If you don’t have an author photo, please let us know in the email.* Since we receive such a volume of emails throughout the year, we have to honor the policy of following our stricter guidelines for our sanity as well as yours.

What We’re Looking For

We accept any novel/novella fiction genres, but don’t review children’s, short story collections, or non-fiction. We each have some favorite genres that we’re really digging right now, though.

Cate: I’m looking at Science fiction/fantasy/urban fantasy, Romance (all genres), Mystery and Erotica.

Landra: Suspense, New Adult that pushes into paranormal or urban fantasy, historical and contemporary romance. I also don’t mind a good sci-fi, but it has to grab me from the get-go.

Mari: While a good, strong book blurb will get me to look at any story immediately, I’m particularly stuck on mystery/thrillers right now, especially historical ones or ones with a good twist of humor. I’m also into fantasy that writes a good, unique story or has a fun romance built in. I enjoy a good cowboy regardless of genre, too.
